Robert Alisen "Bob" HAMMOND [Parents] [scrapbook] 1 was born 2, 3, 4 on 27 Aug 1904 in Clifton, Greenlee Co., Arizona. He died 5, 6 on 2 Dec 1984 in La Verne, Los Angeles Co., California. Bob married Isabella UNKNOWN.

   When Bob was being born, there was a flood.  The doctor was reluctant to go out to the house for the birth.  This situation was remedied when Albert Leroy Hammond Sr. took the doctor at gunpoint to the house!  [James Byrne Hammond interview, August 2004].

Robert "Bob" Alison had no children.  Married Isabella UNKNOWN
   Bob and his first wife Isabella went to South America before World War II where Bob taught athletics at a military academy in Bogata, Columbia.  Bob was a good athlete.  Isabella had a job as an operating room nurse.  The Germans "got down there" and didn't like Americans.
   Bob married a second time to Ruth and ended up in California.  Ruth developed Alzheimers and would disappear from time to time.  The police got to know here and would pick her up and take her home.
   Bob never had children.

Franklin Cline HAMMOND II [Parents] [scrapbook] 1 was born 2, 3, 4 on 2 Jul 1914 in La Grange, Cook Co., Illinois. He died 5 on 19 Jan 1994 in Chapmansboro, Cheatham Co., Tennessee. Frank married Jane UNKNOWN.

Elizabeth Hayes "Betty" HAMMOND [Parents] [scrapbook] 1 was born 2, 3, 4 on 12 Dec 1907 in Clifton, Greenlee Co., Arizona. She died 1 on 10 Oct 1999 in Wheeling, Cook Co., Illinois. Betty married 5 Len ARKEMA.

Edgar Hayes HAMMOND [Parents] 1, 2 was born 3 on 13 Oct 1876 2, 4 in Ohio. He died after 1920 5. Edgar married Myrtilla M. UNKNOWN 1, 4 about 1897 4.

   Ed was president of the board of the Kennecat (sp?) Copper Co.  He was on the production board during World War II to help with the allocation of copper during the war.  Later he was in Washington D. C. as the head of some economics business.  [James Byrne Hammond interviews, 2004 & 2005].
   From Edgar's WW I draft registration card, he is noted as being of "stout" build with grey eyes and light brown hair.

-1910:  residing in the Village of Park Ridge, Maine TS, Cook Co., Illinois on Vine Avenue.  Edgar is employed as an "agent" of an "office building."
-1918:  residing in Providence, Rhode Island.  Employed as a "general sales manager" for "??? Electrical Works."
-1920:  residing in Providence, Rhode Island.  He is employed as a "sales manager" in the "electrical" industry.

Myrtilla M. UNKNOWN 1, 2 was born in Jul 1874 in Missouri 1. Myrtilla married Edgar Hayes HAMMOND 2, 3 about 1897 1.
