Patrick Henry "Pat" RILEY [Parents] [scrapbook] was born 1, 2, 3 on 29 Jun 1889 in Berea, Ashley Co., Arkansas. He was baptized in Sep 1900 4 in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Ashley Co., Arkansas 4. He died 5 in Jan 1965. Pat married 2 Ida Mae THOMPSON on 25 Jun 1916.

In May 1911 Patrick H. left Mt. Olive Baptist church via letter (Mt. Olive Records, p. 72).

From Patrick's WW I Registration Card, he is noted as being of "medium height and build with gray eyes and dark brown hair."  At this time he is a "Clerk" employed by Wilson J. Gregory in Hamburg, Arkansas. (See the "scrapbook" link with the multi-media edition of this report).

In the mid 1940's they resided at 2103 Olive St, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Ida Mae THOMPSON 1 was born 1 on 7 Nov 1895. She died 1 on 24 May 1956. Ida married 1 Patrick Henry RILEY "Pat" on 25 Jun 1916.

  F ii Margaret Phoebe "Phoebe" RILEY was born on 20 Dec 1923. She died on 30 Jun 2001.

Patrick Henry RILEY Jr. [Parents] 1, 2 was born 1, 3 on 14 Nov 1917 in Pine Bluff, Jefferson Co., Arkansas. He died 3 on 15 Jan 2001 in Monticello, Drew Co., Arkansas. He was buried 3 in Oaklawn Cemetery, Monticello, Drew Co., Arkansas. Patrick married 1 Melissa Withers DOZIER "Mickey" 1, 3 on 7 Dec 1947.

  Patrick H. Riley Jr., 83, of Monticello, formerly of Star City, died January 15, 2001, at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home at Monticello.  He was born November 14, 1917, at Pine Bluff, a son of the late Patrick H. Riley Sr. and Ida Mae Thompson Riley. He was the retired owner of Lincoln County Butane Gas Company and Riley's Furniture and Appliance.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Star City. He was on the board of directors of the Bank of Star City and past president of the Arkansas LP Gas Association. He served on the Arkansas Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board and on the Lincoln County State Democratic Committee.  He was post commander of the American Legion Roy Jason Fish Post 32 at Star City and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the South Pacific.

Melissa Withers "Mickey" DOZIER 1, 2 was born 1 on 15 Sep 1918. She died 1 on 6 Jan 1987. Mickey married 1 Patrick Henry RILEY Jr. 1, 3 on 7 Dec 1947.

Edward Earl STONE 1 was born on 19 Mar 1937 1 in Pine Bluff, Jefferson Co. Arkansas 1. He died on 16 Sep 2006 1 in Springdale, Washington Co., Arkansas 1.

   SPRINGDALE - Edward Earl Stone, 69, of Springdale, formerly of Monticello, died Sept. 16, at his home.  He was born March 19, 1937, at Pine Bluff, a son of the late Edward Earl Stone and Melissa Dozier Riley, and of the late Pat H. Riley, who raised him.  He was a longtime professor of English and world literature at the University of Arkansas at Monticello before retiring. He also held teaching positions at Elaine and Crossett.
